Using Wp-o-Matic for autoblogging is a great way to automate your blogs but there can certainly be issues that you want to protect your blog from. The biggest problem with autoblogs has got to be the duplicate content issues and of course the slew of comments and trackbacks you will receive from other autobloggers but thankfully there are tools for keeping your blog clean and SEO friendly.
SEOPress for Meta Tags
SEO Press is a truly powerful and impressive WordPress Plugin with so many features it could easily use it’s own blog post but we’ll be keeping these reviews short and too the point. SEOPress is without doubt my favorite SEO WordPress Plugin because it basically automates many of the features necessary for proper meta tag management. Set everything from the length of your meta tags to the content included in keywords and description tags and make your blog a SEO traffic machine with integrate meta tags management.
Delete Duplicate Posts
Using Wp-O-Matic to syndicate posts can create a problem with duplicate blog posts and we all know how bad that can be for Google. Getting stuck in the supplemental results on Google because you have duplicated content can kill you SEO results. The WordPress Plugin Delete Duplicate Posts makes it very easy to manage duplicate content and it actually does so automatically by searching blog post titles and deleting any duplicates it finds. This of course only works if you import posts with the same title and the content is not important.

NoFollow WP for keeping Spammy Comments
Of course comments can be an issue when you allow others topost content to your website. Spammers will promote their spammy pages by sharing links in your comments but the DoFollow WP WordPress Plugin makes it easier to control things by giving you total control over what outbound links have the NoFollow or the DoFollow tags. Making your comments links NoFollow should dissuade the commenter from hammering your blog with spammy comments. It also allows you to go ahead and let the comments flow on your blog with no worry about penalties from Google for linking to spam websites. This to me is the easiest and best solution.
Google XML Sitemaps
The Google XML Sitemaps plugin will generate a special XML sitemap which will help search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and Ask.com to better index your blog. With such a sitemap, it’s much easier for the crawlers to see the complete structure of your site and retrieve it more efficiently.
Robots Meta
The Robots Meta plugin makes it easy to add the appropriate meta robots tags to your pages, disable unused archives, nofollow unnecessary links as well as do some other robots tools management. Proper robots indexing will increase the crawling activity from search engines and boost the readability of your website.

There are literally 1000′s of WordPress Plugins to help with managing your blog but these are my faves for running an SEO friendly blog and keeping the content clean. If you want to promite your blog you will need to look at these plugins or at least something similar in effect to them.
